One of the biggest things you may have learned from popular shows like the Biggest Loser is the GIGO principle – garbage in, garbage out! No matter what else you do, if you don’t burn off the carbs you take in, you’ll never lose the weight! Since most people lead sedentary lifestyles these days, part of the challenging in figuring out how to lose 10lbs becomes figuring out how to shoehorn in exercise so we can burn off the carbs from unhealthy foods. Walk instead of driving, take the stairs instead of the elevator, and do pushups or situps during those pesky commercials. A little exercise is a lot more practical than a lot of dieting and no exercise at all. Remember that persistence and regular cardio are more important than once a week muscle training if fat-burning is your goal.
